about us
At Milkywave, we have been building our reputation as a trusted breeder in Singapore since we bred our first litters back in 2009. We take our responsibilities very seriously and strive to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all our kitties. That’s why the happiest days for us are when one of our cats is adopted by a loving and welcoming family.

There’s no better feeling than when we match one of our precious pets with their caring new owner. It’s why we put so much time, love, and effort into making sure these special and beautiful animals continue to be bred. We’ve learned a lot about the process since our first litters, and have become one of the top Selkirk Rex breeders in South East Asia. To find out more or to reserve one of these wonderful animals, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to tell you everything you need to know.
Last year, I decided to look for a pedigree Selkirk Rex kitten because after some research, I read that they are extremely friendly and easy going. Also due to the nature of their curly hair, they have less shedding than other long hair cats.

We already have 2 rescued local short hairs (Oreo and biscuit) and a maltipoo (almond). My kids are 6 and 4 years old and are very affectionate to the cats so I was quite worried that such a large gang will not get along well.

Vanilla (white Selkirk Rex 5/12 old) has joined us for exactly a week. He is a very “chill” cat. When I drove him home from the shop, he fell asleep almost immediately and was snoring! We separated vanilla from the other fur babies for about 48 hours and by the third day, the other cats found vanilla to be tolerable and they have since slept and played together. Vanilla is playful and curious and can be found exploring all corners of the house. He is superb in every way.... eats well, very clean and pee pan trained… most remarkably very good to the kids and will allow my son to rock him in his arms. At night, vanilla will hop back into his cage and sleep without us having to tell him to. He responds to his name now and loves a good tickle under his chin. He just “melts” into your arms when you cuddle and stroke him.

Vanilla has been a great addition to our family and finally, I feel our family is complete.
